Connecting Buyers With Sellers On The Internet

Benefits of Ranking High in Search Results

Ranking high in organic search results for your product of service is paramount to converting internet searchers to buyers and getting them to your website where you can tell your story. Most forms of advertising are seen randomly and rely on the concept of repetition to build the recognition it takes to make a lasting impression on buyers. Anyone who has launched a conventional advertising campaign knows about the long term costs associated with establishing a dominant position in the market place. Today buyers are turning more and more to the internet to find sellers and service providers in their geographic area or on a national level. Establishing a dominant position in this non-random form of advertising is a far more cost effective strategy long term.

What is Organic Ranking and Why is it Important

Organic rankings is an industry term that refers to listings that come up on Google, Yahoo and Bing naturally after a keyword is type in by a user and searched on. All of these results are non-paid listings, meaning that they are not using advertising spend to appear there. The search engines have recognized these results as the most authoritative related to the particular search term.

Statistics will show, and most of us know from our own experience, listings on even the second page have a far smaller click through rate, therefore those business owners are not reaping the financial benefits of traffic to their websites. Another positive benefit from a strong organic ranking is the confidence searchers have in the companies that appear on the first page of results also resulting in a higher conversion rate. Advertising must be seen to be effective and the first page of search results is the only place to be.

The section navigation has been upgrade from 1.x to 2.0; this template needs to be updated to reflect major changes to the plug-in.
